Research Infosource has just released its 2012 ranking of research universities across Canada.

Number one in medical is the University of Toronto. Top ranking in the comprehensive category goes to the University of Waterloo.

And the number one undergraduate university for 2012 in all of Canada is the University of Lethbridge.

U of L’s Vice President Research, Dr. Dan Weeks, couldn’t be more ecstatic.

DR. DAN WEEKS: What’s most exciting actually about the Research Infosource ranking and why we’re so thrilled about it, is It really captures our performance across the arts, the humanities, the social sciences and the sciences. And that is really what is the hallmark of our undergraduate programming here at the University. We’re a broadly defined university that is committed to liberal education but at the same time we do that within a very research intensive environment. So to be a great undergraduate and graduate institution and at the same time being recognized for our outstanding research performance I think really is a testament to the quality of our scientists.

Dr. Dan Weeks says a high ranking by Research Infosource helps in attracting students, researchers and investment to the University of Lethbridge.
