This includes sensing systems, articifical intelligence, robotics, automation &#8211; anything that improves the human-machine interface.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nHeading the new Alberta office is<b> Peggy Mactavish,<\/b> PRECARN&#8217;s  Western Vice President.\n<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\nPEGGY MACTAVISH:  <\/b><em>  In Alberta we&#8217;re taking a look at diversifying beyond of course the obvious, the gas sector, and all those good things.  But we want to work with SME&#8217;s, companies that want to do different things in the economy.  Get that leg up and show them the way, when it comes to diversifying and getting products out to market and working with academic institutions.<\/em>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n Peggy Mactavish says Alberta companies  developing intelligent information and communications systems are eligible for PRECARN funding up to $600.000.
