When we say virtualized computer, that’s the distinctive persona of your computer, your data image, that makes your computer different from mine. So we can move that across great distances. And it’s as thought we moved your computer at a moments notice. And this is very valuable for companies who have many offices and have difficulties meeting the needs of the remote employees who are getting very poor performance as they try to pull data across very large distances.

Along with its commercial applications to improve business productivity, Datagardens will also enhance our use of computers for entertainment, like playing video games.

As the Fast Growth winner of the 2008 VenturePrize, Datagardens receives $90,000 in cash and in-kind services. Geoff Hayward says this will help the company set up offices across North America.

FOR INNOVATION ANTHOLOGY, I’M CHERYL CROUCHER.

Guest

Lynne-Marie Postivit, PhD,

Dept of Oncology, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada,

Sponsor

Program Date: 2008-05-06

The winner of the 2008 TEC VenturePrize Business Plan Competition is a start-up company called Datagardens. Datagardens operates in the virtal world and eliminates the physical boundaries between computers.

[25

post-309","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-information-technology","has-post-title","has-post-date","has-post-category","has-post-tag","has-post-comment","has-post-author","
["GET
