And now 500 young scientists in grades 7 through 12 will demonstrate their inventions, experiments and innovations.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nThe winning students will share   in over a million dollars in prizes, scholarships and a chance to compete internationally.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nMark Bellamy is a managing partner with Stantec and is co-chair of the Canada Wide Science Fair hosting committee.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nHe\u2019s also one of 350 judges at the week long event.\n<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\nMARK BELLAMY: <\/b><em>There is a standardized judging process and really it&#8217;s looking at the technical completeness of the work, any innovation that is advanced through the project or  original research.    It&#8217;s also really looking at the process by which they undertook their science fair project.  So log books, and diaries basically project documentation   Also again how it&#8217;s presented on the  project boards.   And finally its really how the finalists interact.
