\nThe Cure for Everything<\/b> is a new book published by Tim Caulfield. <\/b>\n<\/p>\n

\nThis well known health law professor at the University of Alberta takes a tongue in cheek look at our never ending search for the magic bullet for weight loss, fitness and everything else healthy.\n<\/p>\n

\nHe survives the detoxifying dominatrix and the Hollywood trainer to the stars. And he tears through the myths and misuse of science.\n<\/p>\n


\nTIM CAULFIELD: <\/b>How are social forces twisting what we hear about health and about science? And there are many of them. Right from the commercial forces on scientists, from the career aspirations of scientists, from the media, right. They have to put an interesting spin on it. Once it hits the market, there\u2019s another spin there I wanted to both identify those forces and also sort of cut through them to get to the kernal of truth. In addition to that, there\u2019s this underlying sort of theme that I hope the readers see in that it is sort of a love letter to science and to the protection of good independent science and the need for liberal democracies to support that. I think that good science has never been more important. <\/em>\n<\/p>\n

\nTim Caulfield\u2019s book The Cure for Everything<\/b> is published by Penguin, and is definitely very funny read.\n<\/p>\n
