{"id":1770,"date":"2015-06-04T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-06-04T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.innovationanthology.com\/import\/2018\/02\/01\/innovation-anthology-693\/"},"modified":"2018-02-25T21:31:03","modified_gmt":"2018-02-25T21:31:03","slug":"innovation-anthology-693","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.innovationanthology.com\/import\/2015\/06\/04\/innovation-anthology-693\/","title":{"rendered":"Innovation Anthology #693:"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/innovationanthology.com\/uploads\/Innovation Anthology 693.mp3\">Download MP3 Link<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bird researchers traditionally get up at three in the morning and head to the woods for spring time point counts. <\/p>\n<p>They stand, listen and identify the birds they hear calling.<\/p>\n<p>But as Dr. Dan Farr explains, digital technology is gradually replacing the human researcher with remote recorders and computer software.<\/p>\n<p>Dan is Director of the Applications Centre at the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">DR.
